Honoring and remembering Private Jeptha Riley Hansard of Company H, The Goshen Blues, from Elbert County, Georgia.

Enlisted as a Private 3/1/1862. Captured at Spotsylvania, Virginia, May 12 or 20, 1864. Released at Elmira, N.Y. 6/30/1865. Filed a CSA pension application in Elbert Co., 1910. Born 4/28/1842 in Elbert Co. Filed a CSA pension application in Elbert Co. in 1911. Died 5/3/1922, buried at Harmony Baptist Cemetery, Elbert Co. Brother of Patrick Henry Hansard of the same company.
