Defoor, James A. (James Abner Defoor) - 3d Sgt. 9/26/1861. Transferred to Capt. Hanleiter's Company Ga. Light Artillery (Jo Thompson Artillery,) 6/10/1862. Appointed 2d Sgt. Sept./1862. Pvt. in 1863. On extra duty in Quartermaster Dept. in 1864. Sick in hospital 10/26/1864. No later record. Born 6/24/1839, died 3/4/1912. Buried in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Atlanta, Ga.
