Parr, Benjamin W. - Pvt. 9/26/1861. Appointed 5th Corp. October 1861 ; 4th Corp. January 1862. Transferred to Capt. Hanleiter’s Company Ga. Light Artillery (Jo Thompson Artillery,) as a Pvt., 6/10/1862; to Co. A, 25th Battn. Ga. Provost Guard Inf. November 25, 1862; to Co. K, 5th Regiment Ga. Inf. in 1863. Surrendered at Greensboro, N. C. April 26, 1865.

Born in Ga. about 1832, son of Sarah Daniels Du Pre and Charles D. Parr. Brother of Lt Col. Lewis J. Parr. Married Mary Melinda Corley, date married unknown, they had five children and he died May 8th, 1899.
