Born Oct. 14, 1837, died Nov. 11, 1895, buried at New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery, Forsyth Co., Ga.

Wooley's Ford, Georgia, Whereas, it has pleased God the Grand Master of all true Free and Accepted Masons to call our brother John R. Westbrook from labor to refreshment by death and summoned him to the Grand Lodge above on the 11th day of November last . Therefore be it resolved, That in the death of our worthy and beloved brother J.R. Westbrook, this lodge loses one of its best members, the M.E. church one of its shining lights, the county one of its best citizens, the wife an affectionate husband, the children an affectionate and loving father...
