Howard, Jeremiah (Jeremiah H. “Jerry” Howard) - Pvt. 5/1/1862. Wounded in 1862. Discharged Mar/1863.

Born in Jefferson Co., Ga. Filed a CSA pension application in Jefferson Co., Ga. in 1889. Shot through the wrist and hand while on guard duty at night, in Atlanta, Ga. Discharged for disability caused by gunshot wound. Died 10/26/1914 in Bulloch Co., Ga. Buried at East Side Cemetery, Bulloch Co., Ga. Grave marker reads: born 6/28/1840, died 10/26/1914. Obituary printed in Statesboro News, 10/27/1914.

Died - Last Monday, "Uncle" Jere Howard. He came to Bulloch from Washington County several years ago. He leaves seven children and a number of grandchildren.
