Shaw, Samuel H. - Private 2/18/1862. Transferred to Captain Hanleiter’s Company Ga. Light Artillery (Jo Thompson Artillery,) 6/10/1862. Appointed 3d Corporal Mar/1864. 2d Corporal 8/ 1864. Roll for 10/31/1864, last on file, shows him present. No later record. Brother-in-law of Colonel Cornelius Hanleiter. Buried at Westview Cemetery, Fulton Co., Ga. Marker reads: born 3/31/1842, died 10/9/1889. Samuel was the brother of Lt. Augustus Shaw, of the same Company.
