Mooney, William Oliver - Pvt. 10/13/1861. Died at Savannah, Ga. December 16, 1862. Born in Ga. about 1841, living with parents, Levnia (Lina) and Robert Mooney, and three siblings. Father was farmer, owning real estate valued at $1,500 and personal property valued at $400; living in the Cummings District, Forsyth Co., Ga. US Federal Census for 1860.

Attached is the claim his mother filed for any pay due Pvt. Mooney upon his death; found in his CSA service record.
