Bayne, Hendley V. - Pvt. 9/26/1861. Wounded. Captured at Wilderness, Va. May 6, 1864. Released at Elmira, N. Y. June 19, 1865.

Widow, Ella E. Cook Bayne, filed CSA pension application Sep/1919, married 12/29/1874 in Fulton Co., Ga. Application states he was captured at Spotsylvania Court House, 5/12/1864. Hendley Bayne was born in 1839 and died Jan. 23, 1906,in Atlanta, Ga. He died at age 68 and is buried at Oakland Cemetery, Atlanta, Fulton County, Ga.

Henley V. Bayne died yesterday morning at his residence, 94 Oakland Avenue. Mr. Bayne had been suffering with heart trouble and death resulted from this disease. He was 68 years of age and is survived by a widow and seven children, Mr. I. C. O"Neal, Mrs. A. H. Smith, Miss Ella Lee Bayne, Miss Nannie Lou Bayne, Mrs. J. C. Height, H. V. Bayne, Jr. and T. Z. Bayne. The funeral will be held this morning at 10 o'clock at the residence, and the interment will be at Oakland Cemetery.

Atlanta constitution - The funeral of Hendley V. Bayne, who died Tuesday, was held yesterday morning at his late residence, 94 Oakland Avenue. The body was laid to rest at Oakland Cemetery.

Hightower, Miss Nannie Lou Bayne, Miss Ella Lee Bayne, Mr. T. L. Bayne and Mr. H. V. Bayne, Jr., are invited to attend the funeral of Mr. Hendley V. Bayne today (Wednesday) at 10 a.m. from the Woodward Avenue Baptist Church. Interment at Oakland. The following named gentlemen will please act as pallbearers and meet at Patterson's chapel at 9 a.m.: Colonel W. S. Thomson, Mr. T. C. Jackson, MR. J. R. George, M. C. H. Leach, Mr. W. S. McClain, Mt. Thomas Terry.
